An anthology of creative work made in and inspired by Southern Utah
Southern Utah is overflowing with talented creatives, but many are siloed in different groups, collectives, or on their own. It can be hard to build community, meet others, and discover new work and people to be inspired by outside of small circles. Enter The Desert Dirt. A collaborative effort across disciplines, with one theme: the place we call home, whatever that means to you.
We are actively soliciting writing and visual art submissions, all creative work welcome as long as it is thematic around Southern Utah. We welcome unique interpretations of the theme. We want raw stories, inspired by knees skinned on sandstone, the preservation and evolution of ancestral indigenous arts, the smell of creosote after the rain. We want your whimsy and your heartbreak. Your red rock and your vibrance. Please send whatever shade of desert calls to you.
All accepted contributors will receive a contributor copy.
